Dancing Through at the Rio – Vancouver

One of the most beautiful parts of earning my degree through NVIT was having the opportunity to learn about inspirational Indigenous people and in particular, women. I took every First Nations Women’s Studies curse available from justice to healthcare to art to revolution and protest. There have been certain lessons and speakers that have moved me to my very core, and I’m excited to share the opportunity to get to know her with you.

Guided by her ancestors, Madelaine has used dance as medicine throughout her life, and a recent cancer diagnosis isn’t going to change that.
