Yes. Why?

They say it’s important to remain flexible. I often drive my friends and family crazy because I roll so loose with plans. I have always been somewhat like this but as I age I have learned to pivot. Things happen all the time that fly in the face of well-meaning plans.

We must go with the flow.

See, I often don’t love the rapids while they bash me around but I do my best and it works out.

I’m not sure I’ve ever been in the position I’m in today, though.

Yes, my opinion has changed.

What I believed to be true has been proven false. Suddenly, what I was fighting so hard for became very clearly detrimental. I was no longer fighting the good fight.

The good fight is what pivoted.

It doesn’t matter if this is weaponized incompetence or just incompetence. The bottom line has always been what’s best.

When something stops being positive it stops deserving space on our world.

Yes. I did that. I will continue to do that. In spite of what I thought I knew.

We must be just as willing to pivot away from outdated ideas.

Like the idea you could ever force a person to recognize his gifts when the only thing he values is his own ego. The idea you could convince someone of value in something they don’t want.

I can’t turn water into wine.

I can’t make a coward into a man.

If I try to force the horse to drink any harder I’ll end up drowning myself with him.

There were thousands of opportunities to be a valuable asset and each one was met with selfishness and ignorance.

I have it on good authority that absence hurts less than being told you’re loved when you aren’t . I know firsthand how it feels to be told you’re loved while being treated unlovingly.

It’s extremely harmful to be told you are loved while being treated with neglect.

Go with the flow of life.

Cut out the invasive things before they choke you.
